Specialty MetalsIn 2003 KPM started to work on an internal project to produce ultra high purity copper for the integrated circuit (microchip) market. A second company, Kingston Metals & Materials Inc. (KM&M) , was launched after KPM won a business plan competition for developing high purity and specialty metals for the electronic industry. Since 2005, KM&M has been producing tonnage 99.9999+ pure copper (6N Cu). KM&M will entertain partnership projects to produce small quantities (up to tonnes per year initially) of specialty materials for clients.
