New Process Development

Most projects that are brought to KPM are on new processes. Clients' projects can range from some initial thoughts on developing a new deposit or producing a high value material to fully developed process flowsheets. KPM has wide ranging experience in process development and can bring concepts from one field to another. One example of this is the use of flotation in secondary metals recovery.

We can plan and execute experimental work to help understand the chemistry of the key reactions. This can lead to improved processes and a more focused piloting campaign for the client. Often, computational thermodynamics is used to help guide the experimental program and minimize the required number of experiments.
